ROOTS LDN Community Research Project
What is ROOTS LDN?
ROOTS LDN is a community research project, run by You Press in collaboration with the GLA (Greater London Authority). The project focusesย onย social inclusion, integration and developing civic leadership inย communities that currently do not have a voice in City Hall.
After the success of the first project in 2018, we ran a second project, ROOTS LDN 2019, which focused on exploring the root causes of youth violence in London.

What does the project involve and why should I apply?
If you are between the ages of 16-30 and from a BAME background, get in touch!ย We are looking for a group of 15 talented youngย people with an interest in creative arts/writing and giving a voice to their communities.
During the project, our young people will interview their family members and turn their stories into an art form, such as short stories, poems or visual comics. Training will be given to participants to develop their skills in these areas, and they will have the opportunity to see their work published in a collective booklet at the end of the project.
How long is the project?
June 2019 – March 2020.
How do I apply?
